Bio

Surfacing from the depths of suburban culture in Melbourne, Niandra, featuring Todd Benigno on guitar, Adam King on drums and Lachlan Cox on bass, have combined their musical efforts to produce a high energy psych-grunge three piece. Their explosive grooves evident in their demo recordings and live shows are a culmination of the band's extensive list of influences. Niandra was formed in 2012 after Adam and Todd met at RMIT University during their first year of study in an engineering degree. They continued to write songs together in 2013 when Lachie joined to complete the current line-up. Since then, Niandra have been hard at work continuing the writing process and trying to define their sound. They have been gigging around Melbourne’s inner suburbs at venues such as Brunswick Hotel, The Penny Black and The Espy.

The band recently recorded their debut EP with Woody Annison at Melbourne's Red Door Sounds studio.
