Bio

Out of the wonderful connectivity of the internet and some incorrect beliefs about the name of a certain very famous band, Nic Cage and the Bad Seats was born in Nov 2017.

Nic Cage and the Bad Seats are a 4 piece-band from Canberra that blends together jazzy chords, funky rhythms, rock guitar solos, and poppy melodies. They aim to bring back guitar solos on the radio. Their songs often sound happy to many listeners however on a deeper level their lyrics are quite often about loneliness, being out of love, and their personal flaws.

The song “Breezy” which was an amateur home recording debuted #19 on the Triple J Unearthed charts. https://tinyurl.com/y7hct6pn

They also got a shoutout on Triple J Unearthed's Facebook gathering 1000+ likes https://tinyurl.com/ya29nlj3

Their recordings are very DIY using just a Blue Yeti Mic and the mixing and mastering is a constant learning process done by them as well.

Currently their goal in 2018 is to play with other Canberra bands that they love the sound of. Release more DIY recordings. And write more collaborative songs within the band.

Nice summer groove.. Perfecto to hang out on a balcony and drink cold beverages along with or go swimming with a chilled stroke like a breaststroke or maybe backstroke even
