Bio
After a very busy 2010/2011, Nicholas Roy has been writing and recording new songs for his upcoming EP release, with producer Jaime Jimenez. “Victoria” is the first single from the self-titled EP, which features guest musician Sam Cope from Blue King Brown and Owen Downie. The EP was mixed by Tony Espy (at the infamous Sing Sing Studios in Roy’s hometown, Melbourne), the talented mixing man behind “The Avalanches” supremo album “Since I Left You”, and the latest single by Ninja Safari, among many others. Further tracks on the EP feature guest musical performances from David Williams (Augie March) and Kris Schroeder (The Basics). Roy is preparing for a tour in the first quarter of 2012, to support the EP release, which will take him up the East Coast of Australia. Nicholas is also actively establishing dialogue with friends of his music through various social networks, who are helping him to map the tour by posting their ideas and suggestion about the venues, and locations where the tour should take place.
