Artist:Night Signals

Night Signals formed in Perth, Western Australia, in early 2013 when four friends with some musical background (Soviet Valves, Bamodi, Smrts, Ducks on a String) got together and started creating energetic and melodic modern rock music. When a newcomer Skye Groenveld joined mid-2013, she complimented the band with her vocal melodies and lyrics of desperation, anxiety, hope and survival. Immediately Night Signals clicked together and only a couple of rehearsals later several songs were completed, with all five members contributing to the process of writing and arranging music. By November the band had played their first gig (with The Gooch Palms on their debut Perth show) and recorded a 5-track demo with Matt Bairstow (Smrts, Usurper of Modern Medicine, Injured Ninja). Night Signals’ tread a thin line between melancholic and uplifting moods in their songs by carefully balancing often haunting melodies with good dose of volume and upbeat tempo.
