His first musical creations came to him in his teens. Obscure a cappella compositions, crafted late in the night. Several years on, following the formation of Goodnight Thomas, Nik's original more thought-out tunes started to get an airing - on the stage and on radio. In 2006 an EP (Close) was recorded and released. The first single ‘Close Your Eyes’ received notable attention on the independent airwaves and more performances, festival appearances and a USA tour followed. Following this tour, putting his band on hiatus, Nik drew his attention to writing and recording a solo long-player. Working with more classical elements and his own synthetic sounds, Nik soon found himself in the studios of Sydney and Melbourne, Australia with renowned engineers Tim Whitten (Powderfinger, Augie March) and Hadyn Buxton (Trial Kennedy). ‘These Pictures Won’t Tell You’ was released in late 2011.
