Bio

Described by others as ‘Bjork meets Pussy Riot’ Nikkita Ra defines her music as Trip Disco- Trip Hop you can get sweaty to.

A bit saintly smooth, a bit punk, Nikkita transitions between slick raps and airy tinged vocals over a backbeat of electronic and acoustic drums, samples, synthesiser and bass.

Previously front woman of all girl riot squad She Rex, Nikkita Ra has an a “electrifying stage presence” (Indie Shuffle) and her first single and music video ‘Unity’ was “utterly engrossing” (Pilerats).

With her second music video ‘747’ due June 21st, a headline East coast tour to follow it, as well as an EP due early 2020, this is the metaphoric calm before the storm for Nikkita Ra and her unique brand and band. Catch her duo gigging around Sydney in the meantime.

Interesting work from Nikkita Ra. It kinda lulls you with this lowkey vibe before Nikkita expands your mind with a shapeshifting sermon.
