I started writing Even In Dreams at the beginning of 2017. Music has always brought me so much joy but I'd not really been playing or composing much at all for a few years before this. Then towards the end of 2016 I just found myself singing constantly. In the house, in the car, while walking, riding and on the bus, even at work (apologies to my co-workers). At first I was just singing new songs or bands that I had recently heard but as I thought more about it I realised that half the time I was just improvising, making up little disjointed melodies and lyrics. I started cataloguing them in the voice memos on my phone, and soon enough I realised at some point I would have enough material to release a record. I had just recently gotten really into a few "rock" bands at the same time in 2016 (Biffy Clyro, Don Broco and One Ok Rock) and got really inspired to make a rock / punk record.
