Bio

No Borders Music is a platform for musicians who are seeking asylum to create and release music while living in exile.
Directed by Elijah Gentle, a Northern NSW based producer, who spent time in the refugee camps along The Balkan Route, the unofficial route travelled by refugees and migrants from the Middle East to Europe. Elijah recorded the songs of those musicians and produced them with fellow producer Oscar Poncell, and collaborations from local Aussie musicians into an album titled 'The Balkan Route'.
The album tells a tale of persecution, hope, and a longing for love through genres of Arabic Hip Hop, Psychedelic Sufi, Kurdish Love Ballads, Traditional Folk and more.
No Borders Music is a platform to collaborate and share the music of musicians experiencing the harsh realities of a refuge seeking journey.

One of the most interesting projects I've come across on Unearthed. Thanks so much for sharing this with us...connecting us to the world and stories of others. The language in rap soars mighty high on this one.

So mad hearing this project and the refreshing sound of some diverse voices. Keen to really dive behind these raps.
