Bio

Hey everyone! My name is Kaicey and I'm an artist/producer from the Adelaide Hills, Australia.

Since I was a kid, I have fortunately grown up surrounded by creative environments whilst supported by friends and family who enable and motivate me to try new things. This upbringing has lead me to dabble in many artistic mediums such as dance, visual art, and of course music.
I was first introduced to making or playing music through my dad, Nobuyuki (who is a musician himself), where on my 8th birthday he gave me my first guitar. However, it wasn't until two years ago when I decided to focus and actually make music for myself.

Initially, my musical outlet was in the form of producing, specifically with the intention to make Lo-fi Hiphop beats. This was influenced by my background in breaking (breakdancing) and love for artists such as J Dilla and Joji. However, as of late 2020, I have begun to explore and incorporate acoustic elements and more traditional instruments into my production.

On the 9th of April 2021, I released my first debut single 'Don't Mind' and to my suprise was added to a handful of Spotify editorial playlists, such as 'New Music Friday AUS & NZ', 'Indie Arrivals', and 'Crush', just to name a few. Following my debut, I am filled with more drive than ever before and plan to keep making msuic and see where everything goes from here.

I'm here to have a good time and to share what I make along the way with you all. If you want to make something together, let me know :)
Have a good one!

there's such comfort to nobuki's sound which lets you sink right into his moreish, laid back pop sound.

Nobuki's got that bedroom pop feel nailed down tight! The guitars are hazy, the vocals carefree. Only good vibes.
