Artist:Novia Scotia

A young Canberra indie rock four piece, who's sound has been described as "a mixture of funk and indie rock, with shades of the psychedelic realm and the inclusion of glorious trumpets." Novia Scotia has been together for 18 months in which time they have played local venues and youth gigs. They recently won the opens section in the National Rock Eisteddfod and are known for their high energy, enthusiasm and engagement with the audience. Novia Scotia is a four piece made up of Nick Markham, Wesley Faulkner, Ewan McArthur and Daniel Rooney, who are all are all multi-instrumentalists. They also feature a brass section comprised of Matt Nichols and Hugh Parsons on trumpets. With an EP recorded and gaining some traction around their home town, Novia Scotia are at the forefront of the All Ages Indie Revival in Canberra.
