Bio

Nyxen has been asserting her status in the live electronic scene since her debut in 2015.
Known for her considered synth work, mellow guitars and driving bass lines layered with her distinctive vocals, Nyxen has created a unique space for herself at the intersection of electronic, indie, pop and dance music.

Effortlessly moving across genres, Nyxen has amassed a following of dedicated listeners, from early releases Running and In The City to recent additions Insomnia and Red P Plates, Nyxen has clocked impressive streaming numbers worldwide and garnered radio support across Australia.

Since inception, Nyxen has maintained a presence across some of Australia and New Zealand's biggest festivals including Field Day, Listen Out, Splendour in the Grass, Big Pineapple Festival, Mardi Gras NZ and Bay Dreams NZ. Winning hearts across dance floors with her impressive skills as a DJ before she debuted her captivating Live Show in 2019 with a sold-out headline tour across Australia.

Whether on stage, behind the decks or on record, the musical ideas of Nyxen remain fluid. Exploring a myriad of sounds, each release and performance delves into new territory while staying cohesive and quintessentially her own.
Following the release of her dance-fused cut Nightmare in 2020, Nyxen welcomes us further into her latest era with new single Tunnels, an evolution of sound, exploring and demonstrating the breadth of her musicality.

With glimpses of her expanded live show throughout 2021 and hints of more new music on the horizon, Nyxen’s ambitions remain limitless and allude that the best is yet to come.

There's a little 80s influence in the driving synths, the guitars propelling this forward too like an urgent tailwind. It's artfully done, a lowkey hook and hidden in that bright pastiche. If you're a fan of early ladyhawke i reckon you'll get a kick out of this!

Nyxen is back with a buzzing new crossover track. It continues her evolution - as an artist, yep, but also as a vocalist and genre-defying specialist.
