Bio

Bonded through melancholy mindsets and unstoppable ambition, Alternative Pop Rock 4-piece OK Hotel have been branded as Wollongong’s latest export. OK Hotel wasted no time earlier this year with shows up and down the east coast, supporting the likes of Pist Idiots, Ruby Fields, TOTTY, Flyying Colours and Miss June. The 4-piece draw influence from fuzz fuelled 90’s bands such as Smashing Pumpkins, whilst using their immediate writing style and hook-fuelled chorus’ to cement them firmly in the present.

OK Hotel revealed their high-octane EP “Stay Bright” in November, hitting the mark yet again with their signature beltable, heart-on-your-sleeve alternative rock. The band revealed the first taste of this body of work in February with the high-energy, grippingly melodic rock track, “Swim”, which immediately caught the attention of triple j, receiving spins on Home and Hosed and triple j Unearthed.

Their follow up single, “Life is Crazy (Like That)” cemented their status as ones to watch in the Australian punk scene, receiving praise from PileRats, Tone Deaf, The AU Review, Milky, Forte Magazine and more, being added to Spotify’s Local Noise playlist, and landing them even more spins on triple j. The track also climbed the triple j Unearthed charts, reaching #34 on overall Unearthed chart and #7 on Unearthed Rock chart in the first week since its release.

i forgot to review this one back in november so just coming back to say that i love how the mosh would enjoy this as well as the chillers in the back. it's passionate but you can sway to it and josh's vocals are so damn engaging.

That's three in a row for OK Hotel. Watch this band, they're going all the way.

This hits the spot, like a warm memory from someone you used to crush on. Lands like a 90's feel-good theme song to a film I prolly watched too many times way back. Big song will have everyone singin along.
