Bio

Old Haunts is a new project from musician/producer Neil Foley, written and recorded in his home studio on the South Coast of NSW.

A natural progression on from Eliafell’s creamy crunch, alt-rock sound, Old Haunts is heavier, more refined, and the culmination of a huge period of growth and change in Foley’s life.

Having spent the past few years writing, recording, and working with some of his biggest musical influences, whilst continually bouncing ideas off his long time collaborator and brother Ben Foley, Old Haunts is an exciting next step for Foley’s songwriting. Each track feels more complex, more personal, more focused.

Cannot Change Control is the first track to be released by Old Haunts, this April 2020. Featuring drums from Luke Williams of Dead Letter Circus, vocals engineered by producer Forrester Savell and mixed by Clint Vincent of Dead Letter Circus, this dream team of musical legends have taken this banging track to another level

This is the sort of record I'd pay $47 + booking fee to see live at the UNSW roundhouse in 2009. You've taken that classic emo and post hardcore sound and imbued it with the modernity to make it work for 2020.
