What up everyone, this is Oldmate. I was born and raised in Nambour on the Sunshine Coast before moving to Melbourne at a young age. My love for hiphop began early once i'd moved to the big city. I began listening to Warren G and Nate Dogg's G-funk and New York emcees such as Nas and the Wutang clan. From then on i was hooked and my love of hiphop would easily grow in the urban environment of Melbourne surrounded by graffiti. I moved back to Queensland in my High School years but hiphop never left me. Once i was out of school i decided to write some verses and put together some songs, nothing serious, just to see how it sounded. This began a snowball effect and i've been an emcee ever since, writing 16's in my spare time and hounding beats that i could spit on. Since then I've met crew in Queensland who share the same spirit and love for hiphop so with the help of others i decided it was time to get serious.
