Artist:The Ophidian Ascension

Melbourne, Australia has been a breeding ground and played host to a lot of noteworthy extreme metal acts, one of the most promising up and comers being a 5-piece death metal troupe known as THE OPHIDIAN ASCENSION. Since their inception in 2009, THE OPHIDIAN ASCENSION made a big impression on audiences early, touring interstate on the back of a single track. A second 3 track demo was released in January 2011 to a great response. The group recruited new drummer Jake Green (formerly of THE RED SHORE), who joined vocalist Jake Milne, guitarists Chris Speed and PJ Duggan and bassist Blake Ford. They then released a new song in early 2012, which showcased the more defined death metal direction of the band's future material.
