Opine formed in Perth, Western Australia in August 2012. The bands line up consist of original members Robert Spurling - Guitar and Mathew Blyth – Drums and two recent members Dean Thompson - Vocals and Ben Violante – Bass.

The combinations of diverse performers are creating music that simply cannot be categorised into one specific genre but includes many refreshing new wave flavours. The resulting tunes are filled with heavenly vocal melodies; beautiful guitar tones combined with synthesizers working in harmony that send static waves through the air that cause the hairs on the back of your neck to rise sending a shiver down your spine. Bass that fills the needs of those with empty souls and punchy fat drum beats that make it feel so comfortable to dance, mosh or just head bop to.
