Bio

Out Of Bounds are a 3 piece band from the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Delivering a diverse and intricate culmination of pop-punk hooks and an alternative/indie sound, Out of Bounds are making the most of a post-genre world. With lyrics that reflect their own personal idiosyncrasies, they express themes such as ambition, insecurity and death in a way that is relatable yet open to individual interpretation. Formed by Jacob De Leo in 2016, the 3 friends came together in 2019 with Joél Feltrin and Joshua Wilkinson-Beards all coming from the same high school and sharing a passion for creating unique and enrapturing tracks. The three multi instrumentalists blend genres using guitars, piano, ukulele, keyboards and bass alongside drums that drive the songs and create the ‘Out Of Bounds’ sound.

Their first EP, ‘State Of Anxiety,’ was released in 2016 sparking a community of listeners who want to be a part of the Out of Bounds experience. In May 2020, the band released a second EP titled ‘Thoughts in Melody.’ The first single ‘Trust Me’ tracked over 2 thousand streams in the first week of release. The trio currently has over 200 monthly listeners on Spotify increasing daily. Out of Bounds also released their single ‘s t a y h o m e .’ The arena-acoustic track is a dark take on the global pandemic of COVID19. The song draws attention to the darker thoughts that people generally try to avoid during isolation and it explores the accompanying mental struggles.

Everything that's happening here works for Out Of Bounds. Stirring acoustic work and the vocals occasionally veer towards breaking point.
