Artist:Panacea

Panacea is a four-piece progressive rock band originating in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. At first, the band was no more than a casual jam between two close friends, Adam Buick (Drums) and James Paterson (Lead Guitar) who shared a close friendship and a mutual passion for music. Progressively, they influenced one another’s quest to delve deeper into the realm of music and rock and roll. Thus, they decided to form a band. Adam met Pawel Cholewa (Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar) at High School and instantly connected. Thus Pawel was soon recruited as the band’s lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. After a year and a half of writing songs, the three-piece struggled to secure a bassist as well as a name for themselves. Band names that Panacea had previously adopted included ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Stigma.’ Fortunately, a friend of Pawel’s approached the band with a concept for the name ‘Panacea.’ And they have remained as Panacea ever since.
