Paper Champion are a melodic hard rock act from Sydney. In the last two years, they have been distilling their progressive influences into an alternative rock style that has garnered respect across the Sydney scene. Their diverse sounds have seen them fit alongside a range of acts: from the more accessible rock bands in Australia like Birds of Tokyo, to the local progressive crew that fly under th...e Birds Robe Collective banner. The constant evolution of the band led them to produce a complex but anthemic sounding EP in 2010. Now, Paper Champion are working on a release due in 2012. So far, it looks to be a more diverse affair. From hypnotic delay-laden melodies to more abrasive, chaotic rock; the songs combine tight grooves and unconventional structures to tell you a story that you can immerse yourself in.
