Bio

Hailing from Melbourne, Singer songwriter Buck Edwards has joined forces with three of Melbourne’s finest upcoming musicians. Melbourne pub favourite ‘Red October’ drummer Tim Lane brings his unique flare and experience, whilst folk sweet hearts Myrrh have released their percussionist Candy Edwards to continue in her multi instrumental abilities to focus on dobro resonator, electric guitar, banjo and harmonica, whilst also contributing in the song writing process. Adding to the line up is Tom Curry, another talented multi instrumentalist. From his foundation of drumming and singing, adds another solid dynamic on bass and backing vocals. Together Paper Jane creates a dynamic combination of beautiful melodies, rich harmonies and honest lyrics coupled with a backdrop of twangy guitar filled with a rootsy swagger. They are making waves in the indie music scene with their unique approach to the Americana sound. They deliver that new country experience with a precision and edgy feel. Their exceptional ability to match strong vocal hooks with sweet guitar riffs has Paper Jane winning over audiences at venues far and wide. Their live shows are soon becoming much talked about events. Melbourne’s iconic pubs, to name a few, The Evelyn, The Empress hotel, the beautiful Wesley Anne, The Edinburgh Castle and the yard stick that delivers the best of international and national artists The East Brunswick Club have all opened their stages to Paper Jane, and have not been disappointed, and more often than not to full houses. What 2011 holds for Paper Jane... Paper Jane are taking their time in the studio to reinforce their trademark sound to deliver their long awaited Self Titled debut album. Paper Jane has joined forces with one of Melbourne’s most qualified engineer/producers Dave McCluney of Atlantis Sound. He draws from his experience of working with International artists Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, locals Vika and Linda, and Dave Graney to name a few, to capture the distinctive sound and feel of Paper Jane.
