Bio

A positive and infatuating style of music, this 5 piece band captures their audience with heart racing indie pop rock anthems. Formerly known as Oceans, the band began regularly performing around venues in Adelaide in 2015, following successful releases including their EP, “Home”. Their debut EP was celebrated with a launch show of 170+ attendees and a tour of the east coast.

The band returned to the studio in June of 2018 to record their next two singles with Simon Kither of Chapel Lane Studios, marking the beginning of a rebranding of the band. This rebranding resulted in the name change of “Paper Sunsets”, immediately impacting strongly on the music scene with their support slot for comedy trio Aunty Donna’s album tour and their debut single, “Heartbreak”. In May 2019, the band released their second single, “Wild at Heart”, a soaring and powerful pop-rock anthem, accompanied with a tour of the east coast set to begin in late June.

Paper Sunsets are currently recording their next material with Ash Gale (frontman of former band, The Sundance Kids), set to release in late 2019. They bring a certain energy to both their live shows and the tracks they drop, and are looking forward to a big year with plenty of simplistic yet powerful releases.
