Artist:Parker Sounds

Born and raised in south-east Asia before arriving to Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast hinterland as a 6 year old – Parker Sounds has been attached to the place in one way or another ever since. Parker started playing guitar and singing at age 15 to impress a girl but fell in love with music instead. Upon finishing school, there was a short-lived stint in the military, followed by some travel before coming home to study a Bachelor of Science. Following graduation, Parker worked as an ecologist and completed some post-grad studies. During this time, Parker never stopped playing music, performing in the local Gold Coast covers scene for many years. It was the weekend performances that helped shape the direction of Parkers’ song writing, focusing on creating catchy but simple music.
