Bio
"Parking Lot Experiments are awesome as shit." - Dan Deacon
Named after a series of infamous soundsystem experiments by obvious influences The Flaming Lips, Parking Lot Experiments are a Melbourne party pop ensemble who traffic in smiles, community, and unabashed enthusiasm. They make intricate synth compositions, only to splatter those compositions all over the walls of wherever they perform their infectious and frequently chaotic live shows.
Recently they've been known to remix Taylor Swift hits (https://youtu.be/ssXIRsAaCz0), give away beer in a messianic act of largesse, and crown their live sets with a blistering re-imagining of Aussie classic "Love is in the Air". After playing a triumphant slot at Boogie festival, a nearby sound engineer was heard to describe their set as "deranged".
The band is comprised of Lloyd Pratt and brothers Andrew and Dave Connor.

I am staggered. This is gorgeous. Its like a divine pastoral folk dream odyssey. All the best bits of the Microphones and Mount Eerie, with the group-hug hollering of Akron/Family: except from a bunch of locals about a decade younger than said influences. Made my day, the wind is totally at your back guys.
