Bio

Delivering a compelling blend of diverse musical styles, Brisbane Rock four-piece Patient Lounge masterfully craft a combination of innovative instrumentation, dominant vocals and zealous energy to offer a fresh spin on Progressive Rock music.

Debuting as Patient Lounge in 2019, the band presents a unique fusion of classic rock, prog, death metal, jazz and modern pop influences to produce intricate songs with a captivating groove, incorporating pop sensibilities in progressive rock/metal tracks.

Patient Lounge released their debut single ‘All You Want’ in April 2019 and have gone from strength to strength since, releasing heavy prog track ‘New Man’ and latest, most accessible single ‘Places’, accompanying multiple East Coast tours, sold out shows and exciting support opportunities.

Patient Lounge have brought their high energy, entertaining stage presence and raw charm to acclaimed Brisbane venues including The Triffid, The Zoo, Woolly Mammoth, Crowbar and Black Bear Lodge; and to interstate staples such as Frankie’s Pizza By The Slice (Sydney) and Bombay Rock (Melbourne). They have supported internationally acclaimed acts Haken (UK), Pop Evil (USA) and Wolfmother; performed at Dead of Winter Festival 2019 alongside COG and Disentomb; and most recently played a sold at single launch at Brisbane’s The Zoo, showcased in QMusic’s BigSound 2020 and headlined a show as part of QMusic’s Valley Fiesta.

Capturing the intensity of their live sound full of heavy riffs and powerful hooks, Patient Lounge have several tracks ready to release in the new year.

“Another rocket firing up the ascendancy of Aussie prog metal alongside names like Voyager and Karnivool, if you haven’t zeroed in on Patient Lounge being the next big deal, now is your chance.”
(Hysteria Mag, 2020)

“If you like Australian prog rock I’d be getting onto the Patient Lounge train. Cause these guys are going places.”
(Wall of Sound, 2020)

“…one of Aussie music’s most exciting emerging acts… Patient Lounge deliver a sonic smorgasbord of brilliant sounds. …The result is one of the most dynamic listening experiences we’ve come across in some time.”
(Happy Mag, 2019)

“This is a melting pot of everything from prog, to power-metal to pop rock. Quite the spicy mix!”
(Tommy Faith - triple j unearthed, 2019)
