Bio

Patrick Ryan’s music sounds like the soundtrack to a western film set at a seaside carnival. After years of performing as vocalist and guitarist for hire, the Melbourne based bedroom composer has transported his cosmic pop creations to record, and developed a tight live show with his five-piece band, rooted around groove based psychedelia.

Since releasing single ‘Tides’ earlier in the year to a favourable reception, of which the track received multiple radio plays on a number of local community radio stations, including The Hoist on SYN, Patrick Ryan has been working hard in his home studio.

Towing the line between sardonic introspection and honest confession, Patrick’s lyricism and powerful vocal delivery tie together grooving drums and basslines that dance with chorus laden guitar to move your body and soul. With a debut EP to be released late 2019, this is set to be a big year for Patrick and his band.

In love with your influences on your page! I can hear them in this too. You're ability to capture the spirals of sounds and psych elements and more, is so pleasant. The part at the end is my favourite. Sounds so oriental. It's a journey and i'm here for it.

It's like they left the power on at the carnival but it's just me running hooning around the dodgems and worrying about killer clowns. Fun but also offputting. Nice one, PR.
