Bio

Peach Lane have grown from seeds of new friendships into a blossoming dream pop trio. With musical journeys beginning in Melbourne, Fremantle and Havelock North (NZ), the now-Canberran band have made their mark as local indie electronic favourites.

Since forming in mid-2018, they have proven their captivating live presence in support of Northeast Party House, Harts, E^ST, Haiku Hands, Imbi the girl and Odette. Peach Lane’s first six months also saw them signed to local record label warm water. and release their first single 'House Party'. The track debuted on Triple J Unearthed Charts at #2, launched to a full house at the Polish White Eagle Club and was voted in the top two CBR DIG Songs Of 2018 by the Canberra music community.

Echoing The xx, the trio combine live guitars, bass and slick production with folk-inspired harmonies. The resulting soundscapes evoke a mixture of Sigur Ros and Vallis Alps, while lyrically, the songs draw from the everyday in the intimate styles of Angus & Julia Stone and Lorde.

Thrown together, the happysad sounds of Peach Lane have been known to transport listeners into a synth pop dream. One that you can’t help but come back to time and time again.

I think this track gives us a good indication of what Peach Lane is about...it's this pleasant blend of unhurried ethereal pop music and an (typically Canberran) isolated outlook.

Slow burning head nodder. Looks like this band's got ideas in the right places.
