Since their earliest days in the UK, Penguin Kings have made quite an impact since moving themselves to the Queensland capital. The two brothers, Harry Ward and Rhys Hession, alongside cousin Lloyd Hancock have carefully crafted their own path to the forefront of the local Brisbane scene, delivering their raw, passionate blend of indie rock to a rapidly growing fan base. 2012 is sure to be a big year for the young trio, with single ‘Berlin Love’ released in early February, and a debut EP on the cards for a mid year release. Penguin kings are already beginning to attract attention nationally, selected to perform a number of showcases at Adelaide’s FUSE festival in late February, before heading off on a number of interstate shows to promote their new EP.
