Bio
Having spent time in Staying At Home, Animal Shapes, Between The Devil & The Deep and Milhouse, Pinch Hitter is something entirely different; two banjos and not a guitar in sight. Having spent 2013 touring Australia on the back of a three track demo, sharing stages with the likes of William Elliot Whitmore, Cory Branan, Lincoln Le Fevre, and Jen Buxton, and playing festivals like the Poison City Weekender, All Tomorrow’s Shoeys, and Blood, Sweat & Beers, the band found time to bunker down in a small Coogee studio to work on their full-length debut.
'When Friends Die In Accidents' is the nine-track result, a collection of banjo-driven indie and emo songs that recall the likes of American Football, Neutral Milk Hotel and Sun Kil Moon.
The album is out now through Microphone & Loudspeaker (Charge Group, Sandpit) and is available here: https://pinchhitter.bandcamp.com/
In 2015 the band toured the US in support of their split 7" with Meridian, which is available here: http://lostboyrecords.bigcartel.com/product/split-7-meridian-pinch-hitter

Nick van Breda AND Dave Drayton? That's an oversized tick of support from me.
