Bio

The alternative sad-pop band Pinkish Blu quickly established themselves in the Adelaide music scene in 2017 with their popular first single release, Hung Up. After only playing a handful of shows, the ‘feelsy’ five piece has already shared the stage with bands such as WAAX, Skeggs, Will Wagner, Sleep Talk and Horror My Friend. The end of 2017 saw Pinkish Blu take a step back from live shows to work on their next release.

Now in 2018, Pinkish Blu have brought their new single Lovely to life by working with 2017 ‘ARIA Producer of the Year’ Adrian Breakspear (Gang of Youths, Pharrell Williams). The band has been able to develop their sound by taking influences from Post-Punk, 80s New-Wave and Synth-Pop to create the emotional, dreamy and brutally honest track.

Pinkish Blu are striving to push the limits of their creativity and broaden their horizons by following up Lovely with more releases throughout 2018.

love the way the underplayed, despondent vocals play against everything else that's so huge.

Nice to hear you guys honing in on your sound. This hits a pretty sweet spot for me, I usually find it pretty hard to resist anything with a neon hue and a thumping indie-rock heart.

This is wonderful and I can see why you've included LANY in your 'sounds like' section. Jangly, bright, busy but full of space. I'll absolutely be watching closely to hear what comes next.
