Bio

Formed in the lounge room of a Camperdown terrace, 3-piece group 'PLANTS' create left of the dial disco-pop with an 80's Australiana tinge. With song themes ranging from the curiosity of the house cat, to exploring the universe via a clock, and the inner struggles and workings of mobile phone culture, their eccentricity is welcomed in unison with intricate melodies over driving disco tempos.

Vocalist Charlie Ford doubles as a visual artist having directed videos for Courtney Barnett, Vance Joy, Ali Barter & Holy Holy. The bands shared passion of visual arts has lead to the creation of the video clip to their second single 'How's It Gonna Feel?' where they both experiment and suggest a Taoist approach to cognitive behaviour, and how our choices manifest patterns.

With a forthcoming EP scheduled for early 2020, PLANTS are deep in rehearsals for their upcoming live performances.

Somes times when you hear a second vocal come in on a song you wonder 'did this song really need this?' - this is a song where the opposite applies. The two vocals are perfect together

i'm hearing a lot of songs suited to summer right now but this feels like a winter/autumn number for sure. it's got a great groove to it with a cool exterior.

Came for the name 'cas I love Plants. Then I heard this line, "well I've been living on Indian food for ten days straight and it still tastes good"...very impressed with that line and the ability to accomplish that.
