Bio

Sydney duo PLGRMS unveil their expansive and lush new arrival, ‘Limbs'.

‘Limbs’ is haunting, cinematic, and adventurous – a trifecta for which the pair of musical visionaries have become revered, across their pristine discography of thrilling electronic indie tracks.

“I think we've probably all met someone that acts impulsive and fearless, then fixates on maintaining that reputation,” says vocalist Jake Pearson, in relation to the single.

“The lyric “Show me who you really are” was my first inclination towards someone who always had their walls up. But to feel someone lower their defences and explore that with you was like finding gold.”

The track passed through a stellar cast to bring it to life, produced by Ross James aka upsidedownhead (Vera Blue / EʌST / Thelma Plum), mixed by Dan Grech (Radiohead / Lana Del Rey / Halsey), and mastered by Leon Zervos (Amy Shark / Dope Lemon) with The Preature’s Luke Davison on drums.

‘Limbs’ is the second reveal since PLGRMS’s long awaited return earlier this year, following a forced hiatus in early 2019 as a result of singer Jake Pearson’s battle with chronic pain. It arrives as the next instalment of the band’s forthcoming collection of songs due out early 2021, and will be followed by a string of highly anticipated new releases before the year is out.

in the verses, it sounds like there's something dark bubbling just beneath the surface and in the chorus, you let the light fully stream in. a super satisfying and euphoric release that makes for an addictive listen.

I love the way this feels energised yet gentle and euphoric at the same time. I love the rush of sound, the way that chorus explodes and those vocals are flawless.
