The Pods Interrobang are sonic explorers that are determined to go where no musician has gone before. Guitars wailing, Bass thundering, Drums unhinged, and the occasional cameo of whatever instruments or household objects they can find. Their live shows have been known to cause brain melting in the front rows, and often devolve into improvised jams reminiscent of the Grateful Dead. In the studio, The Pods take cues from music of all eras, with a layered recording style that has been compared to King Gizzard, The Smashing Pumpkins, and The Beatles.
Starting in 2017, The Pods Interrobang quickly began amassing a local following and developing their sound along the way. This culminated in the release of their 2018 debut album Do You Have Any Oil?; a jam-heavy mix of psychedelia and prog rock which reaches mountainous highs and has plenty of curveballs to keep it interesting.
The Pods 2020 music release, DIY Sociopolitics, pushes the band’s music even further into the stratosphere with richer sound play and epic compositions. It sets a precedent that a Pods song can be about anything and everything. Some topics to keep you going for now; the opiate crisis, violence against women, and the moon landing.
