Led by bandleader/ composer Brendan Scott Grey PREMISS is a union of music needed to be voiced, and stories to make sense of it all. Using an 8 piece band as its medium, compositions were approached with the desire to utilise the raw, imperfect sounds of a live band within the genre of Australian HipHop. All tracks were composed in their entirety and then presented to a selection of Perth MC's to say whatever they wanted to say. There was no editing or censorship. The story that came to the MC's first was the one recorded; the one allowed to live in that moment.
