Artist:Presence of Mind

Presence of Mind are an alternative rock band formed in Gladstone in March 2009. The band comprises of Paul Dunnet on lead vocals, Jessé Dean Mckenzie on lead guitar, Jasper Webb on bass/keyboard/backup vocals and Zac Lowman on drums. The band was formed when Jessé Mckenzie met original drummer Jesse Couch and agreed to have a jam session with him and Jasper Webb in Jessé's garage. Jessé's room mate at the time Paul Dunnet brought in his p.a and jammed to a few songs. After numerous months and playing a few gigs under the name of Untitled! Jesse Couch left the band due to artistic differences. The boys drafted in friend and fellow musician Zack Lowman and formed Presence of Mind, writing new songs and working on their live act. They then emerged with a bang, coming second place in the Gladstone Harbour Festival in 2010. Since then, they have played many shows opening for such acts as Ash Grunwald, Transvaal Diamond Syndicate, Epidemic...Over, Miltia and Drawcard. The rest, is history.
