About
Artist Bio The Pretty Fingers ‘The Pretty Fingers’ are an Australian alternative-rock outfit, originating from Redcliffe Peninsula in Queensland. Their sound is versatile insofar as its sense of innovation; the grit, passion, and rhythm of Australian classic and modern rock is prominent, echoing the spirit contained in the great Australian pub rock bands such as Midnight Oil, The Living End, and Spy vs. Spy. This is complimented by undertones of iconic British alt-rock - from the dirty licks inspired by Kasabian, to the rawness found in Radiohead’s, ‘Pablo Honey’ - which, together form the canvas upon which frontman, and guitarist, Mick Bristow brings an Iron Maiden-meets-Kaiser Chiefs lead vocal that is naturally punctuated by his native accent. Having formed in 2011, the 3-piece group from Brisbane have been musicians since childhood, albeit independently.
