Prey is an original five-piece hard-rock band from Townsville, North QLD that boasts an intense guitar-driven sound. Their music combines heavy riffs, anthemic choruses and tight double-kick drum beats. This sound, coupled with powerful female vocals and emotion-driven lyrics, gives their music an alternative and melodic touch, which is versatile to suit many audiences, whether on the radio or live and loud. Prey has played alongside Cog, Melodyssey, The Panics, Shihad, British India, Japunga and Dead Day Sun plus many other acts. Prey has been performing since 2005 at venues in Townsville and Cairns such as Bombay Rock, The Exchange Hotel, Riverway Amphitheatre and Arts Centre, various PCYCs and James Cook University.
