A PROCESS OF have electrified audiences with their relentless shows for over a decade, proving to be one of Australia’s best live acts. Their 2nd self titled album, released in February 2015, is a powerfully intense rock record that takes the Melbourne four piece to new creative heights. From the stoner-swagger opening track of BLACK ROSE, the pummeling riffs of the first single EXILED, to the pure rock out of COURTESY CALL. Teaming up once again to record the album with ARIA award-winner Peter ‘Reggie’ Bowman, this long-awaited second release captures the fierce, staunch bone-jolting rock that is A PROCESS OF.
These lads hail from Melbourne and have been blasting peoples' eardrums since late 2003 when they finalised their four-piece line up. They play tight no nonsense metal that ranges from the very forceful to the slightly more atmospheric.
Describe your music
Our music skews off at different angles and tangents - from intense and aggressive to more mellow and atmospheric sounds.
What is the metal scene in melbourne like?
There is definitely a healthy metal scene in Melbourne, the same can be said for most other genres too. For us we're always keen to organise shows that have a diverse range of bands to mix it up and keep it interesting.
Describe a typical rehearsal session? where does it take place?
We rehearse at Ballbreaker Studios in Hoppers Crossing. We'll go through our set list, with most of the time focused on jamming and writing new material.
Who would you most like to tour with and what tips would you ask them for?
For us it would be either ISIS or Dillinger Escape Plan. Any tips on making the perfect Crème Brûlée would be good!
What was the last CD you bought? what made you buy it?
A Perfect Place Soundtrack by Mike Patton. He's an amazing artist and continues to push the boundaries.
What do you do when you're not making music?
Aside from our day jobs, we all have other creative outlets outside of A Process Of, whether it is through Art & Design or other musical side projects, such as our vocalist Pete's hip-hop group Call & Response.
What have you got planned for the future?
We're currently in the final pre-production stage for our debut album that we will be recording in June. Once it is released we will be touring as much as we can to promote it.
