September 2012 sees the release of their new single ‘Sweet Misery’ – a catchy, melodic rock tune showing just what Pyrene has to offer. B-side ‘Chedda’ is also worth a mention, taking us back to the 70’s in a Black Sabbath meets KISS kinda way. Forming in 2002, Pyrene (peer-eh-nee) came to life after a concept to strive to achieve something different. In 2006, founding members Becc and Colin reformed the band in Melbourne as an acoustic duo performing around the city and endlessly writing until their lineup was completed in 2009.
