Twenty three year old singer-songwriter, Rachel Cearns has been making her mark on the Adelaide music scene for the past 2 years, performing her blend of acoustic, ambient electronica in venues across the city. In 2011, Rachel began fronting her own band, debuting the new sound in March 2011 for the Adelaide Fringe Festival in a captivating performance at The Promethean. 
Throughout 2011 and 2012, Rachel has continued to play solo in front bars across Adelaide, making a living as a musician whilst experimenting at home with recording and production styles. In December 2011 Rachel recorded, produced and played all the instruments on her track 'Unscathed,' marrying together the delicate sweetness of her folk influences such as Joni Mitchell and Sufjan Stevens with a dirty, raw production style comparable to The Black Keys or Feist.
