Bio

Randa & The Soul Kingdom are here to put funk in your trunk and ants in your pants! Get set for soulful horns, high-octane vocals and gritty rhythms that pack a mighty punch of feel-good goodness. Guaranteed to get you dancing - if you still have a pulse. This band have established their reputation playing at festivals across Australia and Europe, and their raw, high-energy sets ignite dance floors, often sending audiences into a frenzied Soul Train.

Sassy sista Randa Khamis has been lauded as a modern-day equivalent to Marva Whitney and Ann Sexton by publications 'Mojo Magazine' and 'Blues & Soul'. Her music with the Soul Kingdom has featured in the US version of TV show 'Skins', and her voice was sampled for 'Do Your Thing' by Dutch DJ/Producer Bakermat.

Set to release their long-awaited third album 100% independently in 2019, its first single "2048" was released in July and nominated for a WAM Song of the Year award. Having released the second single "Put Your Hands Up" in September with a simple music video committed to getting you dancing like no one is watching, Randa & The Soul Kingdom are out to prove yet again they are authentic purveyors of 21st-century soul.

"If Betty Harris, Patti Drew, Donna Hathaway or The Blackbyrds are names that have any meaning to you, proudly add Randa & The Soul Kingdom to your Funk Collection." Aarom Wilson West Australian Music Industry website
