      Red Rockets of Borneo are a five-piece band from Melbourne. Propelling heat-seeking, guitar-driven rock missiles in rapid-fire succession at their audience, their live shows explode off the stage. The band were together a year before playing their first gig in 2010. In that year, Red Rockets of Borneo produced a film clip and their first album, which was later launched to a sold-out crowd at the Old Bar in March 2011. The self-titled album was quick to achieve critical praise and medium to high rotation on PBS FM and Triple-R FM, as well as a spot on Triple-R’s Soundscape (Top 10 Listing). Shortly after the positive reaction to the album, the launch and their clip getting medium air-time on ABC TVs RAGE, the band entered the SYN ‘Free Kick Competition’ and won, adding them to the line-up at the 2011 Reclink Community Cup, sharing the stage with You Am I and Tumbleweed.
