      A discourse on belonging. RHINO. Hailing from Hobart Tasmania, formed twelve years too late and severely geographically displaced. The trajectory of an unconditional love for heavy/progressive music en masse that fostered our musical heroes has endured a twenty year dilution. Despite the long-ish burst of activity before quasi-disbandment rendered us temporarily inoperable, the insatiable hunger for momentum delivered only the perpetual state of existential malnutrition; such is the plight of the 21st century Australian band, posing the question of why. Pre-tertiary English Communications in College was transfixed on belonging and the mechanics of communities, which is translatable to music scenes omnipresent. As people we have looked at the world objectively for a living, be it through the lens of a microscope or the soulless organisational analysis of a non-for-profit bureaucracy.
