Artist:The Rift

The Rift is a five piece alternative/rock band from the Mornington Peninsula. After 20 years of living next door to each other, Calum and Kyle decided it was time to start a proper band, and after meeting Zammit at a party they had found their lead singer. Calling upon one of their long time school friends Joe to fill the spot of bass player, all they had left was to find a drummer. When a pair of drumsticks was coincidently found in a car that Joe was servicing, he invited Dane to one of their pracs. The five of us were united in July of 2012. Drawing inspiration from a range of different artists and different genres, we try to combine all of them to create what we call our sound. We can go from a heavy head banging riff, to a funky dance beat, to a soft acoustic folk song, so as not to limit ourselves to just one musical style.
