Bio

Hailing from Avalon on the Northern Beaches of Sydney Australia, The Rions (pronounced Lions with an R) are made up of: Noah Blockley on vocals & bass, Tom Partington on drums, Harley Wilson playing keys and rhythm guitar, and Asher McLean on lead guitar. They started playing together in Year 7 for a talent quest at Barrenjoey Highschool, in 2016.
Being best friends and realising they each had a passion for music they continued playing and performing together. Under the guidance of music teacher Mr John Stone (Indie Pop group Angus & Julia Stone’s father) they started performing in their local area at 13 years old.
Since then the four boys have adventured through a multitude of genre’s starting at Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, moving to The Beatles among other 60’s/70’s influences before moving to a more local sound like that of Lime Cordiale, Ocean Ally and Marvell.
At just 16 years old with their natural talent and hard work, they have since created a following, securing local gigs and events up and down the Northern Beaches. These days the boys are writing their own music and have recently started to record it.
They hope to create a career out of spreading music to people to listen and enjoy.

Breezy rock pop from The Rions. Nice to hear from you guys! I love the moments you let your voice extra loose Noah. It adds impact to the emotion. I can hear your influences like Lime Cordiale slipping in and I can't wait to hear more!
