Bio

Expertly-layered vocals, sharp pop sensibilities and effortlessly pulsing synths characterise the glistening debut music from Brisbane artist RIVAH.

With many childhood nights sleeping backstage while her father worked as a music director and later inspired by the authenticity of artists such as SZA, Lauryn Hill, Selah Sue & Chance The Rapper, RIVAH is enticingly fearless.

Often finding herself far from home, from New York City to a beach bunker on Australia’s east coast, RIVAH is ready to share the first taste of her new project. After hunting the globe she found her dream team in Australia for first track ‘Untame’ with producers Pip Norman (Jarryd James) and Eric J Dubowsky (Flume, Chet Faker).

If you wanna talk about the explosion of independent Australian pop music in 2018 then Rivah's name should be on your lips. She's part of the vanguard alongside artists like CXLOE, Muki, Kota Banks and km.

Those guitar strings almost sounding like children in the distance. Kinda reflects the fragility of this track. Lovely.
