Bio

From humbled beginnings busking in Tamworth and the streets of his small NSW hometown of Manilla, Rod Coote naturally found his love for writing music and performing live from an early age.

After serving in the Royal Australian Air Force and studying at University, Rod was naturally drawn back to his music and decided to release his first single 'Comet'. Since this milestone, Rod has continued to rapidly grow a fan base through playing regular shows on his local music scene in Newcastle and been taking up any opportunity to collaborate with other Australian artists.

With the recent release of his debut album 'Golden Hour', Rod has established his own unique dreamy indie-pop sound & the early foundations for a life long career in music.
His music has drawn comparisons to the likes of Dustin Tebbutt, Fergus James, Riley Pearce, Didirri, Tyne-James Organ and Vance Joy to name a few.

Rod has been fortunate enough to support Australian band Chocolate Starfish and folk duo Byrne & Kelly from the Irish boy band Celtic Thunder.

Opening with interstellar sounds that unfold into a rad indie vibe is awesome.
