Sydney-based songwriter and musician, Roland Kay-Smith’s Pozible-funded sophomore album, As Cool As They Come , is a tongue-in-cheek ramble through a cynical, misunderstood and hilariously bad cast of characters. A Triple J unearthed winner and uniquely charismatic performer, Roland released his debut album, Sailing by the Stars in 2015. Garnering airplay across Triple J, FBi and 2SER and some not-all-bad reviews, Sailing by the Stars was musically and lyrically beautiful, lingering, hopeful and jam-packed with sunrises and sunsets. As Cool As They Come is not that album - in fact, there’s not a sunrise in sight.
