Raised in the Southwest of Sydeny, Australia in the Claymore area, life wasn’t always easy for Hip Hop artist, Rome. The son of a single mother, he moved around often, sometimes staying with his father, and at other times with his mother and grandmother. But music was the one thing that was remained constant for Rome.

Being of Samoan and Tongan heritage, Rome was exposed to music at an early age and used it to help him get through some of the toughest times in his life. But it was 2Pac’s Resurrection documentary that made him fall in love with Hip Hop. When he heard the eerie “Brenda’s Got A Baby,” - a song reminded him of his mother who had him at only 16-years-old - Rome was hooked and began honing his skills performing at his high school.

Now 25, Rome uses his uncanny lyrical prowess, vulnerability, and razor sharp delivery to tell stories about the most intimate parts of his life. He’s influenced by Kanye West, T.I. and B.o.B., and ultimately wants his music to give people the freedom to fearlessly and authentically express themselves in whatever ways they see fit.

It’s passionate. It’s deep. It’s meaningful. It’s Rome, and he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Rome has just released his debut single, “Day 16”, which will be followed by his highly anticipated first EP, The Last Of A Dying Breed in spring of 2020.

Rome's tone is legit. It's like his voice was made to be on hard joints like this.
