Bio

The Rucksaks are a five-piece Indie Rock band hailing from Sydney's South. Emulating a blend of old school rock and new school indie vibes. Their songs are typically fun and uplifting, with lyrics that juxtapose the instrumental feel by commenting on typical social situations and life in general.

The Rucksaks released their first single 'Smokebomb' in July 2017. Following the launch of the single came sold-out headline shows in Cronulla and Wollongong as well as a handful of support slots in a number of areas within NSW.

Most recently, their latest single 'Deadweight' released in November 2018, was accompanied by an East Coast tour in early December 2018. From these shows the band have honed their craft, bringing a high-energy festival like performance to every venue.

2019 brought about mass songwriting for the band. The first of which was released in November titled 'Sick and Tired' which was received well by fans at a Sold-out Single Launch.

March 2020 has seen the release of their newest single "Trying" and there is no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

The Rucksaks have left this one out on the patio all arvo; I'm pressing up to it for that sunny warmth!

it's got all the ingredients for a fun indie pop jam, hooks everywhere, singalong parts that loop around your head and a bit of meat in those guitars too.

i reckon the vanns crowds would like to meet the rucksaks. it's a feel good blend from the sydney crew despite the lyrics saying otherwise.
