Bio

With a sonic fortress built around dense atmospheres, metric modulation and crushingly detuned guitars, Progressive Metal band Russian Novel reels listeners into their emotive yet distorted landscapes.

Band members Mardy Leith (Vocals), Rohan Macdonald (Guitars), Jesse Canning (Guitars), Bryce Nichol (Drums) and Alex Kovac (Bass) bring a combined wealth of knowledge and experience, having all been actively involved in music since childhood. They are deeply inspired by bands such as Periphery, TesseracT and Veil of Maya, with the four members now holding the goal of garnering recognition from their peers within the genre.

Russian Novel have dedicated countless hours to the craft and their recent self-produced releases, 'The Depths', ‘God Hand’, and 'Ashes' encapsulates not only their strengths as a band, but the breadths of their musicianship as individuals.
